Where Folevi is different
A plan with no AI
Core costs $1.99 a month or $19 a year and has no AI at all. The server refuses every AI request in a Core space, so nothing there is sent to an AI model. It’s for people and teams who want notes without AI and don’t want to pay for it. More in why Folevi has a plan with no AI.
AI counted in credits
One AI credit is one cent of what the AI costs Folevi to run. Rewriting a paragraph uses about 1 credit, a question to Foli about 2 and a flowchart 3 to 5. Settings shows what’s left this month and when it resets. See what an AI credit is.
Priced per person
Every Folevi plan is priced per person: $1.99, $4.99 or $12.99 a month, and the same per member in a workspace, whether the team has 2 people or 20. Guests are free. Craft sells Family and Team plans at a fixed price for a group of accounts.
Offline first, in the browser too
Folevi writes every edit to your device before it sends it anywhere, and that includes the web app. The page says Saved only once the server has confirmed every change. With no connection you keep writing, and the status counts the edits waiting on this device. Craft works offline too; on its web app you turn offline mode on in Settings, and it keeps the documents you’ve opened. See offline notes.
Note themes with artwork
Each page can take one of 57 artwork themes, or your own image, and the theme colours the cover, the paper and the text. The app around it stays plain white, or near-black in dark mode. See note themes.
Where Craft may suit you better
You want native apps everywhere
Craft has apps for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Vision Pro, Windows and Android. Folevi runs in the browser today. The Mac app is coming soon, and there is no iPhone, iPad, Android or Windows app yet. You can install the web app from your browser so it opens in its own window.
You want AI that runs on your device
Craft can use on-device models on Mac, iPad and iPhone at no charge, or your own OpenAI or Anthropic key. Folevi’s AI runs on Google Gemini through our servers and is metered in credits.
You publish documents as websites
Craft publishes documents to the web with custom domains. Folevi has public links to single pages, with a password and expiry if you want them, and no custom domains.
You edit the same paragraph as someone else
Craft shows changes to collaborators as they happen. Folevi merges edits to different blocks, and shows a conflict when two people change the same block at once.
Switching from Craft
Folevi imports Markdown and plain text. The way across is to export your notes as Markdown, then import the files.
- In Craft, export your documents as Markdown. Craft does bulk export on Mac and iPad.
- In Folevi, open Settings → Import & export and choose the files, the folder or a ZIP of them. Images the Markdown points to by a relative path (PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP) are uploaded and become image blocks.
- Folevi imports up to 50 documents at a time and lists anything it couldn’t bring across. The new pages land in Drafts, where you can file them.

- Is Folevi an alternative to Craft?
- For notes, tasks and linked pages on the web, yes. Folevi doesn’t have Craft’s native apps, on-device AI or website publishing.
- Can I move my Craft documents to Folevi?
- Yes. Export them from Craft as Markdown, then import the files, a folder or a ZIP in Folevi under Settings → Import & export.
- Does Folevi have an iPhone or Android app?
- Not yet. Folevi runs in the browser today and the Mac app is coming soon.
- Can I use Folevi without AI?
- Yes. Core costs $1.99 a month and has no AI at all. On the other plans you can turn Foli off in Settings.
- How is Folevi priced for a team?
- Per member: $1.99, $4.99 or $12.99 a month on Core, Pro or Pro AI. Guests are free.
