Documentation

How Folevi works.

The essentials, one article at a time. If something here doesn’t match what you see in the app, tell us. The docs should never be wrong.

  1. Getting started with Folevi

Create a Folevi account, write your first page, turn lines into blocks with the slash menu, link pages with [[ and find anything with ⌘K.
  2. Keyboard shortcuts

Folevi keyboard shortcuts for new documents and windows, search, the sidebar and inspector, headings, checklists, moving blocks and text formatting.
  3. Blocks and slash commands

Every paragraph in Folevi is a block. Use the / menu for headings, checklists, tables, flowcharts and audio, move blocks from the keyboard and style a page.
  4. Tasks and calendar

Any checklist item in Folevi is a task. Give it a date, time and priority, find it in Today, Tasks and the Calendar, and add tasks with Quick Add.
  5. Sync and offline

How offline editing works in Folevi, what the Saved, Saving, Offline, Syncing, Conflict and Not saved statuses mean, and how version snapshots work.
  6. Sharing and permissions

Who can open a Folevi page, how to restrict one, share it by email to view, comment or edit, and make a public link with an expiry and password.
  7. Workspaces and plans

Your Personal and a Folevi workspace compared: roles, per-member plans, separate storage and AI credits, and what happens when someone leaves.
  8. Import and export

Import Markdown and text files, folders or ZIP archives into Folevi, and export any page as Markdown, HTML or PDF, or everything as a ZIP.
  9. Foli and AI credits

How Foli, Folevi’s AI assistant, works: Ask Foli, editing and writing with ⌘J, titles, Catch me up and flowcharts, AI credits per plan, and turning AI off.
  10. Account security

Email verification, two-step verification with an authenticator app, recovery codes and deleting your Folevi account.
